Pergolas 5
This pergola was
built as a cover to a deck. We built the cedar pergola with the lath inside
the 2x6 framing,
then covered the structure with smoked grey roof panels. We
cut the ends of
the rafters and the lath on the north side into what's called
the horsehead pattern.
It's our most popular rafter tail treatment.
It worked out perfectly,
covering the deck, but not blocking out the sun entirely.
I have a feeling
this won't be the last one we build.
